Magic Boost
Overview
In the heart of New York during the Millrose Games, Magic Boost’s creator cohort came together, a gathering of storytellers, mentors, and athletes reshaping how track and field is seen and shared.
Magic Boost partnered with us to create a hero video that would both recruit new members into their creator cohort and serve as a compelling tool for investors and partners. Filmed during the Millrose Games in NYC, the piece aimed to showcase what Magic Boost is, the impact it’s had, and its role in elevating track and field storytelling through diversity, youth, and fresh creative voices. Over the course of 2–3 days, we captured interviews and moments with current participants, mentors like Chris Chavez, and other leaders in the program.
Challenges & Approach
The biggest challenge was coordinating schedules with a wide range of participants. From writers and social media personalities to videographers and photographers, all while events and competitions were in full swing. We blended staged and verité moments to ensure authenticity while still crafting a polished narrative. The creative approach combined live-action footage with archival content, supported by custom motion graphics and VFX to highlight key moments in Magic Boost’s history, mission, and impact on the sport.
The Result
The final video delivered a dynamic, emotionally resonant story that positioned Magic Boost as a vital force in track and field storytelling. It effectively conveyed the program’s mission and track record while inspiring potential recruits and stakeholders. The piece has been used across Magic Boost’s digital channels, in recruitment outreach, and in investor pitches, providing a versatile asset that continues to generate excitement and buy-in for the program.
