Aikido Technologies

Overview

From the fabrication floor in Louisiana to on-water testing in Mississippi, the Aikido One prototype marked a pivotal moment in clean energy innovation.

Aikido Technologies partnered with us to document the assembly, transport, and testing of the Aikido One, a quarter-scale prototype of their offshore floating technology. This project served as both a milestone in their engineering journey and a key marketing asset for their updated website, investor outreach, and grant applications. Our goal was to showcase the innovation and promise of the technology in a way that would excite current investors, attract new ones, and demonstrate the company’s unique position in the renewable energy space.

Challenges & Approach

With production timelines and a multi-location shoot, adaptability was essential. We filmed across Harvey, Louisiana, and Pascagoula, Mississippi, capturing fabrication, transport, and final on-water demonstrations. Working closely with Aikido’s CEO, executives, and stakeholder partners, we helped refine the storytelling approach, deciding which aspects of the build and testing to highlight, and how to frame them to resonate with an investment-focused audience.

In post-production, we structured the narrative to blend technical clarity with cinematic pacing, using music, tone, and editing rhythm to make the story both engaging and persuasive.

The Result

We delivered two hero videos and a series of cutdowns, along with team photography and stills for the company’s website and investor presentations. The content was shared by Aikido and external stakeholders, generating positive press and reinforcing the company’s credibility in the clean tech space.

Beyond this campaign, the storytelling framework we developed provided Aikido with a repeatable way to document future milestones, supporting long-term marketing, fundraising, and grant acquisition efforts.
